Tenute Casinovi: preview in Campidoglio – Rome

One year after its formation, on Tuesday 22 December 2009, the association “Salento Nostro ” organized in Sala del Carroccio in Campidoglio , a convention on the subject “Bitter Lands of Salento”. As the president Antonio Russo pointed out, the large community of people from Salento in Rome aims at becoming an ideal bridge between Salento and the Capital in order to promote the territory's art, culture, tourism, wine and food. With the same goal it has also been instituted a prize called “Premio Dolmen” for those who, directly or indirectly, have contributed or contribute to the enhancement and development of Salento. Chairman of the commission for the awarding of the prestigious prize was the journalist Antonio Conte, President of European Federation of Tourism Press as well as President of the World Committee for the Coordination of Tourism Film Festivals.

At the convention were present: MP Rocco Buttiglione, director Enzo Pascal Pezzuto; Vincenzo Santoro, writer of books regarding the culture and the musical tradition of Salento; editor Paolo Pagliaro of Media Mixer Group; singer Dolcenera; Claudio Sammarco Regional President of the International Food and Wine Sommelier Academy; MP Antonio Stampete, Vice President of Tourism Council Commission of Rome; the association Pro Loco Salento. The host was the journalist Antonella D'Onofrio. The awards were also assigned to: MP Gianni Alemanno Major of Rome ; MP Rosario Giorgio Costa; Dr. Luciano Marinosci; Cav. Luciano Fortunato Sciandra; Tito Schipa Junior; MP Alfredo Mantovano Under-secretary of Ministry of the Interior; Donatella Bianchi, host of the TV program Linea Blu Rai Uno; MP Simona Manca Vicepresident and Member of the Province Council of Lecce. The mounting of the hall was made by Valentina Migoni with sculptures of the typical papier maché of Lecce .

During the evening was presented the new farm TENUTE CASINOVI set up by young entrepreneurs and everyone had the chance to taste their wines at the end of the event.
